Howling screams of affirmative action
A fear of blackness.
What right do you have to be here
If it was not a quota?
This is the daily chore of black excellence.
Always questioned
Dissected.
Ridiculed.
Demonised.
The arrogance of the status quo.
A belief that wealth is a creation of whiteness.
The country club network
Of influence and exclusion.
Aah captains of industry.
Oligarchs of Exclusion.
Thé social construct of racism thrives.
In an economic system
That perpetuates white privilege.
Is it not also a prison
To keep the other out?
Was ill-gotten wealth not a stepping stone of privilege.
A right every child should hold
Irrespective of status and race.
Where it not the betrayal of the political elite.
We have a choice
To break out of our black and white prisons
Aah then the sweet taste of magic
Weaving.
Interconnecting with the tapestry of color, culture, race and difference
Without the prejudice of ancestors.
And wisdom conquers fear
We break the chains of our fight or flight animal instincts
And embrace the birth of our Nation
One where we embrace diversity
Building the path to a new beginning.
Touched by the wisdom
That we are all One.
From the same Source
And we see how important
Our heartbeat is in the cosmos.
